Can't connect to CRM Online 2016 Update 1

There is no error log, it just keeps asking me if I want to create one and I say yes but then Notepad opens up with a new Untitled and I'm not sure what to do with it. I have tried using both Online and Office 365 as selections.

I just tried to login into an online instance, and I am able to connect and export roles. Were you previously able to connect using this tool on the same machine?

If not, could you please check if you have IdentityModel installed?
